If the casks are too light, and get broken in transit, it is not improbable that some portion of their contents leak out, although hardly to the extent of 2/lbs per cask- the alleged deficit- and further, the contents also be damaged by water.
The casks used by
Robin's & Co are machine-made, and those intended for your Contracts have extra hoops, and
specially made under my inspection.
They
are
certainly stronger than the ordinary export cask as used by the Trade generally-
