The Resident Engineer however obtains all kinds of results thus irrespective of age.
7 days averages of 483-363, 380-365
one month's make: 320 lbs
two months old = 750 lbs
Unfortunately the briquettes "Glenogle's" + "Chang Wo's" cargo set aside by my assistant for 6 months tests were damaged, so no record has been kept of them - but fortunately, I have the samples taken while loading still on hand.
I therefore had these samples made into briquettes in our usual way and tested after 7 days with the following results - 1180-1100-1020-1002-975 lbs as against the Resident's averages of 380 + 365 lbs for the same cement.
14. It will be noticed that these tests are higher than those made upon the same cement on the 10th of March - see last Report No.... This is to be expected, as the cement is good, it has been properly made into briquettes, and the results show that it has increased in strength with age.
