Hong Kong. Tytam.
Average cost up to August, 1885.
$23.2.0
The Liverpool headings have the bottom of the conduit worked to an even and true gradient.
The Manchester Tunnel headings, where in sound rock, are to have the bottoms brought to a smooth and even grade throughout.
Where the headings require to be lined with brick or stone, the area excavated is to be 8'6" by 8'6" to allow of a finished area equal to 7'0" x 7'0".
The bottom of the Tytam heading has not been dressed to an even surface as yet.
The dimensions are 6'x7'. This reduction of one foot in width, however, makes little difference in the cost.
