In reply to your letter of the ultime, forwarding correspondence respecting non-conviction of certain Civilians for bringing spirituous liquor alongside Her Majesty's Ship Flying Fish I have the honour to inform you that the Act 16+7 Vict Cap 69, is not in force in this Colony, and that the case was dismissed for want of Evidence as to the liquors having been parted with for any consideration.
