I am directed
by the Officer Administering the Government to request you, in conjunction with Dr Hungerford and Dr Manson, to examine and re-port upon the state of health of Mr Wharry, the Superintendent of the Civil Hospital, who reported himself to be unable, through ill health and physical exhaustion, to perform certain duties assigned to him.
Dr Wharry was directed, on the 6th instant, to undertake the duties of Deputy Inspector General of Hospitals under Dr Fisher, R.N.
