The Wardmasters are head nurses and chief dresser and they are responsible to the Supt. for the reception and due care of the sick.
They shall do day and night duty the hours being from 9am to 9pm, and from 9pm to 9am on alternate weeks, except on Monday when the day duty is divided one wardmaster taking from 9am to 2pm, and the other from 3pm to 9pm.
The Wardmaster on duty shall receive every applicant for treatment at the hospital.
As far as he is able he shall attend to the immediate requirements of the applicant, calling the Superintendent when the case is serious or the symptoms urgent.
