Acting Copy.
Enclosure A.
245
Colonial Surgeon to Acting Colonial Secretary.
Government Civil Hospital
5th November 1880.
1512
I regret to report that Assistant Surgeon to the Lock Hospital is now on the sick list and unable to attend to his duties. The duties at the Lock Hospital are being performed by me at present. I requested Dr. Wharry to undertake the medico-legal duties performed by Dr. Marques, but he reports himself as unable to do this, having more than sufficient work for "one man at the Civil Hospital". I have therefore to request that the Army Medical Department be communicated with in order to depute one of their officers for the medico-legal work.
The Honble Mr. Stewart, LL.D.
Acting Colonial Secretary
