Jordan says that it is not. The morning visit is as a rule not made till 9.30 a.m., and lasts till about 12 or 1 p.m. when the day's work at the Hospital is practically over. In the former case I do not see how the remedy can be applied whilst XWharry is in charge, for no Assistant Surgeon would get on with him for more than a few months if so long. In the latter case the state of Meghany's health is not a sufficient reason for Government going to the expense of an additional Surgeon to help him.
