You, as I have already stated in paragraph 4 Dr. Wharry was only directed to perform occasional duties during the sickness of his colleague Dr. Marques, who is constantly relieving him of his duties. The first time, however, when Dr. Wharry was asked to relieve Dr. Marques, he refused. The work could not be called heavy; in 28 days, there were only external examinations and one autopsy, and I have above shown that Dr. Wharry was liable to be called on to perform these duties, since he had obtained an increase of salary chiefly on the ground put forward by him that these duties required of him.
A copy of the report of the Medical Board was communicated to Dr. Wharry, who apparently thought that to a certain extent it did not sustain his defence of physical injury.
