14 in 1885: and 19 in 1886 to the end of October. From the 5th November last, the date when Dr Wharry was called upon to undertake these duties during the illness of Dr. ... Marques to the 3rd December when the case was finally dealt with in Executive Council, there had been seven cases.
... of external examination of bodies and only one autopsy.
A view of the body coupled with the facts contained in the Police Report on the case is, in the great majority of cases, sufficient to show to the Medical Officer that the death was either clearly due to natural causes or was the result of an accident.
13. Finding that Dr. Wharry persisted in disobeying the order issued to him he was on 8th November charged with insubordination and disobedience
