I asked if I wanted the head of "U Afung, as I could have them if I wanted them. I immediately went to the Yamen Kowloon City. I asked for permission to take the body and head next morning. I received permission.

Next morning, 8 am, I went with my son, and another relative, U Afatiy not going with us, to the spot where I had seen the body. I saw the body dug up. We cut the rope and let the head down. We had the body and the head conveyed to Ma Tau Wai. I looked at the marks on the body after it was dug up. The head which I identified before the Magistrate at Ma Tau Wai on the 30th ult. were on the body. The head of my late husband U. Afung was identified.

U'Akwai declared: On the 28th ultimo about 4 pm. I went to Kowloon City to buy some cloth. I reached Kowloon about 5 pm. I saw a crowd near the bamboo wharf. I saw U A-fung in the middle of the crowd. I saw the executioner cut his head off. He gave six cuts altogether. There were soldiers present in uniform, two or three officials, one with a red button and one with a white button. They were in official robes. I have never seen an execution before. I went home and told U A-fung's wife. When A fung was beheaded, he was kneeling down; he walked to the spot and kneeled down. I cannot say whether he walked or was dragged. He stood still and then kneeled down. I saw him was alive when I first saw him.
