say for the cost of the Praya's Exchange villout being dependent on the Imperial Government in a contribution, I, a portion of the cost.

of the site near Imajaqui

Jap is too far off from the water. Some plan might be devised. I will submit another one.

Suppose that the inter limit of the Government property here thrown back to the 50ft. ridge overlooking Bowen Road from the South. Inclosing wall might be built on the top of this ridge. The barracks, offices, etc. now down below in Bowen Road would be transferred to the south of the Victoria Barracks and $5,000 Inspector General's frame, the site extending if necessary across Kennedy Road. The whole of the Military buildings would then be collected together, which I understand is a great advantage, according to General Cameron. The site would certainly be healthier than down below in Bowen Road. The water frontage is required for the building a ship-yard.

Further, the cricket field and Recreation Club's ground now occupied by the Brigade might be retained for this purpose.

I have sketched roughly my idea on the annexed plan.

The pink tint represents the Military sites which I propose to retain with the further extension towards and across Kennedy Road.

The Blue tint represents Naval Yard with the proposed North extension by taking in part of Civilian Barracks.

The yellow represents Military sites proposed.

The Parade Ground is also marked.

All stroked pencil line the proposed Boundary.
