The cost of the Praya Extension appears
to be, according to the higher Estimate £71,000,
and
the reclaimed land would be worth £160,000, so that their public works need not be interfered with or postponed if the No. 2 Admiralty would come to a reasonable
settlement of the point at issue. they would do with less land than these representatives in Army & Navy demand. It would be a good thing to complete the
Praya without assistance from Imperial.
