Wo A-fat, Stone cutter, To Kwa Wan, reports that his brother, named Wo A-fung (deceased), residing at So Kwu Wan, was arrested by four Chinese soldiers on board the "Kenn King" ferry-launch while on the way from Hongkong to Hung Hom (in British waters), at about 4 pm, on the 10th instant, when they gave order to the master of the launch to go to Kowloon, and not to call at Hung Hom; and, on the arrival at the wharf there, that they carried him into the City.
Complainant could not give any reason why his brother was arrested; only in answer to some one on board the "Kenn King", who enquired why he was arrested, they (the soldiers) stated that he was a member of the Hung Society (Triad). It is said that about ... ago a reward of $500 was offered...
