I daresay the old notion that the Government might prohibit the erection of Chinese houses in say under the guise of the levying of ... but it is clearly untenable now that it is examined. This refers to the line with 13355... but on the one hand papers.
It is now high time to fix a line by law on which no Chinese Houses facing or built; some such institution is necessary for the Morse & other disagreeable matters which emanate from them and make them very bad neighbours to Europeans: if ... the principle of the line proposed may be acceptable.
