I have, in the meantime, as there was no doubt of the guilt of the men, dismissed them from the service, in virtue of the power vested in the Governor by $22 of Ordinance 9 of 1862.

It is inconceivable to me how the Acting Magistrate, who is a Barrister, should have imposed so light a penalty on these Constables.
