I certify that the pension which may be paid to the Applicant according to the Rules of the Colonial Service, amounts to six hundred and thirty-four Dollars- sixty-six cents.

and I base my Certificate on the following calculation:---

Mr James Parker entered the service on the 3rd July, 1874. His services therefore extended over a period of 13 years. His salary is $1,920 per annum, valued at $320 per quarter.

It's salary has not been increased or revised during the last three years.
