Extract from the "China Mail" of 27th July, 1886.
A POLICE informer named Pang Akwong while walking this forenoon in Square Street was attacked from behind and received two cuts, one very deep on the shoulder and back. He was removed to the Government Civil Hospital. The assailant or assailants have not been found. This is the third informer who within quite recent date has had to pay a heavy penalty for his information.
