Sir,
I have the honour to send herewith a Chinaman named Guth-chun. This man is engaged, in compliance with the request of your telegram, to interpret for the Hinghua dialect in the rendition with care. He speaks the H'u t'ien patois and understands and talks below and Grandarin.
As the bearer is not a little afraid of his own authorities, I beg to suggest that you let it be known.
