will become the duty of the inhabitants of this Colony, on discovering the presence in Houghong of any of the seven persons banished, to give the Police such information
as may lead to his or their arrest. A reward of Fifty dollars will be given to the person who furnishes the information upon which an arrest is made, provided that his claim to the reward is found on examination to be good.
I am in possession of information implicating several other persons in the charge of being members of this Society. Let them pause before continuing in their evil ways, which must necessarily bring upon them the speedy infliction of the severest penalties.
Persons in the Government Service who are at present, or may hereafter become, members of this Society, are warned that they will be dealt with in the same manner as any other individual.
Take heed to these my words, which do but herald the approach of punishments which shall, upon occasion arising, be meted out in full measure without favour to any.
