With reference to the Coroner's letter of the 17th instant, I have the honour to call attention to the fact that the instructions sent me on the subject of post mortem are of very recent date, and, consequently the Coroner's statements would appear to be somewhat hasty and his generalizations to be insufficiently founded on fact.
