8. The Executive Council after carefully considering all the papers presented the following resolutions on the subject :-

(a) "That the Captain Superintendent of Police be requested to furnish the names of persons known or believed to be prominent members of the Triad Society, and persons dangerous to the peace and good order of the Colony, with a view to their banishment.
(b) That the Captain Superintendent be informed that Police Detective Li Fan will be banished and dismissed from the force upon a report from him that he is a member of the Triad Society and dangerous to the peace and good order of the Colony.
(c) That a draft ordinance for the suppression of the Triad and other Secret Societies not recognized by the local Law, be forwarded for the consideration of the Secretary of State for the Colonies.
(d) That the Acting Attorney General be requested to consider the question of introducing a law for the sale of fire-arms and deadly weapons and the carrying of the same.
