Chie Kam-fong requests us to lay before you the following facts which he claims may be taken into consideration with those contained in our letter of the 30th ulto.

In 1869 when Chii Kam-fong was granted by the Registrar General a licence to open No. 2:02 of the Western Market, a large outlay of money was made in extending the business on the faith that the Govt would not divert from the practice of allowing him to continue there on the terms of the letting without interference.

The business of the Ching Cheung Lung is now in a very prosperous condition, owing chiefly to the outlay of money and the diligence of our client, and, should he be ejected...
