Chii Kam-fong states : I am the

manager(?) of a poultry shop. The man called So Yik-him, is dead. The licence for the lau(?)

was originally issued in his name. I saw the notification handed to me when it was issued.

I understand from it that the only person the Government recognises is the original holder. The Inspector told me that the license is issued to the man who is here and not to the man who is not here.

My object in coming to this Office was to get a duplicate license, and not to have the name changed. I had heard that So Yik-him was dead(?)

but did not know positively. I did not hear that he was dead till I came to this Office. The Inspector told me when I was in this Office that he would have to have Yik-him's name

taken off the register. He told me in the presence of a clerk in the Registration
