It is part of the duties of the Colonial Surgeon to give free medical attendance to all Government employés drawing less than £400 per annum.
I have much pleasure in transmitting for Your Lordship's information an extract from a local paper recording the presentation to Dr Ayres by the subordinate employés of the Civil Service of an address expressing their appreciation of the invariable kindness and sympathetic consideration shown to them and their families during his term of office here - qualities which are not always met with in connection with gratuitous services.
