no interest, whatever in the property dealt with. - Hence the necessity impressed upon me on my arrival and of carrying on the registration and other work of the Land Office in a more satisfactory & intelligent manner than had previously been the case.
This is now done, but of course it entails much extra work of a higher order, which I would submit, is alone a sufficient reason that the increased salary I ask should be granted to me & I hope, may be taken into consideration by your Lordship, accordingly.
