The principal ground
on which this renewed application
is made to Your Lordship
is
that the decision as to the withdrawal of Ecclesiastical grants has been already reversed
the Crown Colonies of Tingapore and Mauritius. I
have no information
as
to the
circumstances
circumstances under which the
Imperial Government has been its previous
induced to reverse its
decision in these Colonies. The
question of disestablishment as regards Wongkong, has been so fully treated by Sir G. Bowen
N: 204 in his despatch of 27th August,
1883, that it will be sufficient
for
me to beg Your Lordship to refer to that document.
