The authorized East Reverse Battery Fas been completed - the new road is completed - the Western and Central Batteries
are
progressing well,
and the Southern ditch is more than
half finished.
The existing completed works, with the acception of the Reverse Battery at the
Lyemoon,
are all armed, though probably
some alterations will eventually be made; of the new guns have yet arrived,
but none
nor has any information been officially received from the War Department to the probable date
date of their arrival;

but, until the emplacement are ready for them, this is of little consequence, provided their construction is well in haud.
