Registry Supreme Court. Singapore, 14th May, 1884
The Honourable The Chief Justice in his Report on the Supreme Court dated October, 1882 stated at page 27 that, "The Registry of Deeds under Ordinance 8 of 1844 will, I conceive, have to be placed under the superintendence of the Registrar of the Supreme Court or of some other officer possessed of competent legal knowledge."
