I remember my Grandfather, his name was Sing Jai. I remember my father, his name was Chim Iseung. I remember my older brother, his name was Yeung San Fun.

I remember the 22nd November 1880. On the morning of that day about sunrise I was in my school which is situated next door to where my grandfather lived. My grandfather, my uncle, my elder brother, and a younger brother lived there. My younger brother's name is Young Saw Chrung.

On the morning of that day while I was in the school I heard someone knocking at the door of my grandfather's house. Shortly afterwards I heard a cry of "save life". I ran out of the school house door to an open space outside. I saw Yeung Honghong and 23 other men - Yeung Honghong is the 10th prisoner. I should know them if I saw them. The men were cutting my grandfather, my uncle, and my two brothers who were lying on the ground. Some of the men had pistols, swords, trident, and spears. I stood and looked at them. After a short time I went to call for assistance. I got assistance. When I returned to the open space the armed men had all gone. My grandfather was lying on the ground; he was alive.
