Sworn, States : - I am Assistant Colonial Secretary. I produce communications from the Chinese Government received by this Government through the British Consul at Canton. Their dates are respectively 4th, 12th, 19th, 20th & 20th November 1883. I produce a further communication which this Government has received from Officer of the Chinese Government dated 6th December 1883.
These
