Dudley has had some slight experience of "prison management" at the Gold Coast, and that he will "pass a term of probation, consisting of two months training in the English Criminal Prisons." It is my duty to submit, with great respect, that it has been pointed out here that the record of W. Dudley's public services, as given in the "Colonial Office List," shows that he was once sent "on a special Mission to arrest the King of Kafel" and that, as the experience gained during the temporary guardianship of that Negro Potentate would of itself give little assistance towards
