With reference to Bishop Raimondi's application of April 15 (CSC(84)57) for compensation for services rendered in the Gaol and Civil Hospital by Roman Catholic Chaplains, I do not think there could be any reasonable objection to say an annual vote of $720, a sum about equal to that paid by the Military Authorities, if it is found, on reference to the Gaol and Hospital Departments, that any services are regularly rendered and satisfactorily discharged.
The number of Roman Catholic prisoners in Gaol, and patients in Hospital must be much less than that of the Roman Catholic soldiers and sailors in Her Majesty's Forces,
