The undersigned merchants present a petition, stating that the dues charged in Bangkok for imported spirits are too heavy, and praying that the Government will take steps to restore the former scale of charges, so as to facilitate the exportation of spirits from the Colony, and to render the trade prosperous.
Petitioners submit that they were formerly engaged in exporting various kinds of spirits to Bangkok. The average amount they
