The Committee concur in the suggestion of the Executive Council, who on considering the petition, advised that a sum equal to the salary of the post of Superintendent, which was not drawn, whilst Mr. HAYWARD acted as Superintendent, less the moiety of the Warden's which pay, which was drawn, should be granted as a gratuity, and recommend that this sun, amounts to $946, be approved.

(2.) Read a letter from the Acting Captain Superintendent of Police, recommending that a passage to England should be granted to the 2 children of the late Police Constable
