Particulars of Office of Clerk of Works in the Surveyor General's Department, Hongkong.
The candidate should be a thoroughly practical, middle-aged officer of experience, well acquainted with the theory and practice of house-building in all its details. He must be conversant with the quality and strength of building materials, and be able to prepare detailed estimates and specifications of works and buildings to be executed, and be able also to measure and value the same when completed.
