proposed increases to their pay. I beg therefore to recommend it for Your Lordship's approval. Should it be decided that this Minute may be adopted without any alterations, I shall be glad to receive Your Lordship's approval by telegraph, as, if the increased pay is voted and authorized from the beginning of the present year, these remittances have caused so much trouble, which may be at once discontinued.
