The Chinese have done nothing towards getting their Kowloon office ready. Their launch is still running between Canton and Kowloon on the Canton time.
Between Kowloon and Canton, the Terminus at present is Hongkong. The state of affairs will probably continue until the Chinese make up their minds to work the line from rooms adjoining our office. Another difficulty presents itself, we can offer them excellent office accommodation, but they require dwelling house accommodation as well, at least a dozen rooms. As we cannot possibly find them more
