I am to request you to concur with the wishes of Earl Granville expressed in the letter from the Foreign Office of the 3rd instant, in regard to the re-arrest of the 13 Chinese fugitives, if they should still be found in the Colony, with a view to their surrender to the Chinese authorities under the usual conditions, at present in force, laid down in my predecessor's despatch of 5th September 1882.
