I am, however, to point
out that the Chinese agents
of the Import
in Hong Kong merely sell Chinese Customs duty receipts for the amount of Duty payable at the port of Entry into China, and that this does not amount to a
levy of duty in Hong Kong, as it is not obligatory on the merchants to buy the
Customs receipts.
