these

prisoners since they were young. They live opposite

the village :

in the same house. Their surname is the same

as mine. They are

all subjects

of China.

James Parker sworn states. I was

first clerk at the

Magistracy.

I see the warrants produced. I

prepared them. They were signed

and sealed.

On the 20th

of December 1883. On the

same day I received

the requisition for the rendition

of the prisoners before the

Magistrate. The

warrants and requisitions

produced are those which I

executed.

The prisoners

are committed

to prison subject to the orders

of His Excellency the Governor.
