depositions taken at this Court in
pursuance of an application from an
Officer of the Chinese Government under the provisions of Ordinance 12 of 1850 whereby thirteen prisoners
charged
were
with murder, and cutting and wounding a Chinese subject within the
Empire of China.
I have the honour to inform you
that five of the prisoners
were
discharged
there being no evidence against them
