Mr Meade I had forgotten that Mr Marsh had been appointed to Hongkong since 1876. As in the case of M.C.C. Smith, who was removed from one Colony, where the remittance privilege existed, to another where the same privilege remained (vide 16035 Straits) it would seem that Mr. Marsh, who was promoted from Mauritius in 1879, should not have the privilege in Hongkong, where it
