6. The new Commission comprises the heads of the chief Mercantile Firms, Banks; & the leading Barristers, Physicians, and Surgeons together with the principal owners of landed and other property. Of course they are mostly Members of the Chamber of Commerce.
7. The last-mentioned body contains 34 names, including: (1) English 8 (2) Americans. (3) Germans and others (from the Continent of Europe) 2 (4) Chinese 20 (5) Foreign Firms, who are not British Subjects by birth or naturalization. (6) Parsees and Armenians 2 Total 34.
