Marine Surveyor, as already sanctioned in the Despatch N. 22 of the 6th of October, I have the honour to inform Your Lordship that of the strong recommendation of the Harbour Master (Mr. Thomsetter), the Assistant Harbour Master (Mr. Enenker) and of the Government Marine Surveyor (Mr. Brewer) and with the advice of the Executive Council, I appointed on the 1st September ultimo Mr Arthur Wagner provisionally, on probation, to the post of Assistant to the Government Marine Surveyor for three months.
2. The Harbour Master reports that Mr. Wagner has performed his duties in a very satisfactory manner and I therefore beg to recommend that Your Lordship may be pleased to confirm his appointment, which is provided for on the Estimates.
