I propose to fill up the place of Mr. Mardew as second officer of the H.M.S. "Havre" vacated by Mr. Stayward, until I shall have had an opportunity of communicating with the Superintendent. It may perhaps be necessary to procure a new warden from England; especially as it is my intention to introduce the Reformatory system of discipline, (which requires a trained Officer indispensable for that purpose.
