I have the honour to forward some supplementary statements to my Letter 7, Letter 2187 concerning the closing of the Normal School.
"By removing the Principal and Chinese teachers to the positions and salaries enjoyed by them previous to the Establishment of the Normal School, and by the consequent dismissal of the Government teacher at the school, a considerable saving was effected.
