being appointed there acting Master, S.D. 2001, 2001, Manking 7898 below Mr Arthine. If he return to the Central School he cannot resume his former rank, as that were then the posts acting-joined by the Secretary of State. To avoid this difficulty I have the honour to recommend that Mr May return to the Central School as Normal Master in charge of being put Preparatory School where he could superintend the instruction of the monitors and Pupil Teachers.

The rank of seniority would thus be:-

Principal's
2nd Master
and
4th

Mr Falconer
Mr Arthur
Mr Wilkınson
Mr Bidwel

Mr May is naturally anxious that this position if approved of should be ratified by Secretary of State.

9.

The House and Teacher's Wearing allowances to the Principal of the Normal School are the same as those to the masters in the Central School. But the salary is twenty dollars a month in excess of the masters
