Dr Ayres present salary is altogether £3944, and he is allowed equivalent to carry on private practice. He now applies that, while being allowed to retain his private practice, his salary as Colonial Surgeon, which is about £680, may be increased to about £960, the amount fixed by the Civil List (Ordinance No 13 of 1860), and his salary of £864 as Inspector of Hospitals, to £960 a year, thus making a total yearly salary of £1920.
