Again Mr. Grimble, and Rae, & subsequently Sergeant Rae, both of the strong Police, upon being transferred to the Sanitary staff, have, in the same manner, forgone all claims in respect of pension, as members of the Police Force. When the time arrives for invaliding or superannuating these two officers, their pensions will be calculated like that of Mr. Fleaver, under the strong Pension Minute, and they will be dealt with, like Mr. Fleaver, as ordinary Civil servants; the time which they served in the Police being, of course, included in their total period of service. I am informed that no members of the Police Force have been allowed to count the value of their quarters as pensionable.
